1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 10.5-oz. cans beef broth
15-oz. can tomato sauce
14.5-oz. can diced or stewed tomatoes
1/4 c. chili powder
1 tbl. cumin
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. molasses or dark brown sugar
Garnishes
Shredded cheddar cheese
Sour cream
Rice or pasta
- Cook meat, onions, peppers, and garlic in skillet, until meat has been browned. It may be necessary to do this in two batches.
- Add the meat and vegetables, and all remaining ingredients, to slow cooker. Stir to mix well. Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or longer if possible.
- Serve over rice or pasta with desired garnishes.
