3 lbs. ground turkey
1 onion, chopped
1 red bell pepper, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 lb. mushrooms, sliced (optional)
1 stalk celery, chopped (optional)
3 26-oz cans/jars of spaghetti sauce
1 14.5-oz can stewed or diced tomatoes
1 bay leaf
2 tbl. dried basil
1 tbl. sugar
1 tbl. Worcestershire sauce
2 lbs. pasta, cooked
- Combine ground turkey, onion, pepper, garlic (and mushrooms and celery) in skillet. Cook until meat is browned. (It may be necessary to do this in two batches.)
- Place browned meat in slow cooker. Add remaining ingredients except pasta to slow cooker. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with pasta.
